With funding from Insurance and Care NSW (icare), and in partnership with researchers from The University of Sydney, Brain Injury Australia (BIA) is helping develop online communication training programs and social networks for people with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). BIA is inviting applications from people skilled in social media to: help recruit people with an ABI to participate in a closed Facebook group providing peer support; promote and facilitate access to the group; and moderate the group to provide a safe environment for people with an ABI to develop and build their skills in using social media with their peers. The position of Social Media Community Liaison is a casual contract position commencing in early 2021 and to be completed by year’s end. The successful applicant will: demonstrate understanding and experience in use of social media, e.g., Facebook and Twitter; have the ability to engage and communicate with diverse groups of people – for example, the use of plain English in written communication; and have highly developed written and oral communication skills.
