Brain Injury Australia Receives National Disability Conference Initiative Funding

Following Brain Injury Australia’s successful application to the Australian Government’s National Disability Conference Initiative, it has received $11,000 in funding to assist people with a brain injury to attend October’s 5th Annual National Acquired Brain Injury Conference. (BIA has also been able to negotiate a concession registration rate for people with a brain injury of $110.00.)  The Conference will be held at Melbourne’s Rendezvous Hotel on the 24th and 25th October.

BIA is the chief non-financial sponsor of the Conference and its Executive Officer, Nick Rushworth, will chair the conference.

The Initiative’s funding is to be used “to assist people with disability to participate in the conference (for example travel for domestic participants, accommodation) etc.”

For more information, or to apply for the funding, please send your request to or call Brain Injury Australia on 1800 BRAIN1 (1800 272 461).
