Brain Injury Australia’s five-year partnership with MAX Employment

Brain Injury Australia has entered into a five-year partnership with MAX Employment – a Disability Employment Services (DES) provider operating in more than 250 metropolitan, rural and remote regions nationwide. The partnership will combine Brain Injury Australia providing disability-specific training to MAX Employment staff with referrals to maximise the chances of people with a brain injury securing meaningful and sustainable employment. “Overall, the 700,000 Australians living with brain injury.people have a lower level of service use than people with other disabilities,” says Brain Injury Australia’s Executive Officer Nick Rushworth, pictured below with Deborah Homewood Managing Director of MAX Employment’s parent company MAX Solutions. “This is in spite of both their high levels of unmet need for supports and their work potential. For as long as the Australian Government has funded the DES, the participation rate of people with a brain injury has been stuck around 1 per cent. Through the partnership with MAX Employment, Brain Injury Australia is determined to boost that number.”

“MAX Employment is excited to work closely with Brain Injury Australia to build awareness of services and supports available for people with a brain injury,” says Deborah. “MAX Employment will work closely with BIA to build awareness of services and supports available from Australia’s leading provider of Disability Employment Services. The circumstances of an individual with a brain injury and their capacity for work will be different for each person. We help employers see every individual’s unique ability, and help support them to understand the value of inclusive behaviours and attitudes.” Visit MAX Employment here.
