Concussion is difficult to detect.
Around 90 percent of concussions happen without loss of consciousness and half of all concussions go unrecognised.
You are invited to take part in a University of Sydney research study about sport-related concussion that will help to improve the awareness and management of concussion.
The University is looking for coaches, trainers, physiotherapists, referees, team managers, teachers, parents/guardians and players (18 years and over) participating in sports with a risk of head injury such as rugby league, rugby union, Australian Rules football, soccer, hockey, netball, basketball, cricket cycling and equestrian. Complete the survey here.
The results of the survey will help to ensure players’ long-term health and welfare in sport and inform decisions which will make their sport safer and more enjoyable for all to participate.
If you would like to know more about the survey, contact Dr Rhonda Orr on (02) 9351 9475 or email, rhonda.orr@sydney.edu.au.
