“The Triad” of Common Injuries in ITBI

Inflicted Traumatic Brain Injury is sometimes associated with three – a “triad” – of common injuries:

Retinal Hemorrhages (bleeding in the eye)
Subdural Hematomas (bleeding on the brain)
Cerebral Edemas (swelling of the brain)
